以海參研發創新產品的本地初創立威生物科技（Labway），其創辦人之一薛志威（Victor）對政府就「生命健康」科研及初創企業等提供資助表示歡迎。惟目前的資金調撥或只是短期性的協助，若能多加資助協助初創聘請科研人才，將會是最理想不過。
